Each Market season, our members make a parking lot in Oak Park come alive with local foods, handmade goods, and incredible items for shoppers looking to support small businesses and the freshest foods. We host food trucks, local musicians, and put on family-friendly events to keep the excitement going, too!
One of the integral parts of this effort is the Market Manager, and we're looking for an organized, helpful, small-business-minded individual to work in this capacity for the next season.
The general responsibilities include organizing the market map as well as overseeing market setup for each market day (signage & parking), collecting fees, and helping promote the Market via social media videos. The Market Manager works with the board to make recommendations and create a positive experience for shoppers and members. Market Manager has competitive pay and is DOE.
Market Manager Hours
Member Map Organization & Coordination - This task generally takes 30 minutes - 1 hour the day before Market.
Day of Market - The market manager is onsite 1.5 hours prior to open and 30-45 minutes after the market closes, for 5-5.5 hours of time each market day.
Market is open Tuesdays from 4pm - 7pm
Thursdays & Saturdays from 9A-12P June through September
and then adjusts to 10A-1P in October.
